Our Products
Currently our flock of chickens is producing a steady supply of eggs. We have more than we need. We have enjoyed getting to know our neighbors since advertising farm fresh eggs for sale.
We have recently acquired 120 small chicks to better meet today’s demands for fresh annd more nutritious eggs. We have just completed construction on a 1300 square foot chicken coop to house our rapidly maturing flock. By summer we expect to be able to better meet today’s egg demand.
Our Products
We offer a wide range of products at The Brown Family Homestead Farm, including seasonal fruits and vegetables, free-range eggs, rabbit meat, and free-range eggs. All of our products are grown and raised on our farm using sustainable and ethical practices. We will also offer CSA shares and farm-to-table dinners throughout the year.

Farm Fresh Eggs
Fresh eggs are collected daily. Presently we can serve a few neighbors and friends. Construction of a 1300 square foot chicken coop is underway. At the same time, 100 chickens are growing quickly. They need the space. We expect more eggs by Summer 2025.

LIVE FEEDER RATS
Greg is a Reptile Enthusiast too. He has been breeding healthy feeder rats for his snakes. We are breeding rats for the Hampton Roads Community. He will have a booth at the Chesapeake Exoticon Pet Expo May 24 at the Chesapeake Conference Center.

Spring Vegetables and Microgreens
Our strawberries and leafy greens are close to harvest. We have had a few sneak peaks and they are delicious. Spring peas and radishes will soon be harvested. We can’t wait for a delicious farm fresh quiche with a side spinach salad topped with strawberries.
Microgreens are nature’s packet of nutrition. These young plants contain more nutrition than their mature counterparts, They also make beautiful garnishes for you dinner party table.
We will start them as soon as our tomato plants are hardened and transplanted into their garden beds. Prices vary
