At The Brown Family Homestead, three generations work together to produce quality livestock and vegetables which nourish both our family and our community.
We invite you to experience hands-on farming at The Brown Family Homestead. Participate in planting and harvesting our fresh produce, and learn about sustainable agriculture practices.
Charlie spends most of his time on the homestead with daily animal care. During the week he is active as an elder and discipleship leader at The Journey Church. He also drives the Grassfield Bus Route for Chesapeake Public Schools.
Glenda researches best practices for animal care and sustainable farming. She also oversees the gardening tasks. During the week she teaches 18 amazing piano students. Find out more about her studio at www.grassfieldpianoacademy.mymusicstaff.com
Greg is the first-born son of Charlie and Glenda. He is the primary owner of The Brown Family Homestead. He has two sons, Lance and Brett, who work and play alongside of us in addition to attending Grassfield High School. Greg is also owner of the foundation company The Foundation Guys.
